Hello all-- I have been successful in starting these two seeds in the title (588 and 718 Young). I'm not even close to pollinating, but I was wondering which vine I should keep the fruit on and which one to pollinate it with or even pollinate it with itself. Thank you.

Maya, Most growers pollinate on the primary vine only. This is going to be the first part of the plant that starts vining and is usually the thickest vine on the plant. Sometimes growers pollinate the pumpkin with a male from the same plant, or they may use a female from another plant all together. If I can help you with further questions feel free to email me at jkpayoung@hotmail.com John
