Can somebody tell me what AG stands for? Maybe Atlantic Giant? So that would mean all of these pumpkins are atlantic giants?

I understand that not all pumpkins are Atlantic Giants but I thought that the giants we deal with here were Atlantic Giants. Was I wrong to assume that AG stands for Atlantic Giant? Maybe it stands for Agriculture then?

Atlantic Giants apparently are not Dill's Atlantic Giants....one had a PVP at one time, one didn't. There were multiple strains of giant pumpkins at one time and only one strain was Atlantic Giant. Burgess strain was another I've heard about. Gancarz had his pre-dill "line" and thats alive and well in some secret genetics patches every year. There's also second and third generation "AG x hubbards and prizewinners" growing giant pumpkins today. Show King squash?...hmm...now theres a winner....take an "AG" and it throws a green one and now its a "show King Squash"?...I don't think so but thats what they say. I like it when Waterman and Dill sell the same genetics cross and one calls it a "Dill's Atlantic Giant" the other "Atlantic Giant"...and if its a green one "Show King" or "Giant Squash".A simple question ? Maybe. A simple answer doesn't tell the truth.
