I was wondering about certain crosses. Id like to plant one of Beachys crosses next year which is a 1332 Werner x 1420 Larue. How many 1300 pound plus crosses have produced lets say pumpkins over 1000 pounds if any??? Im gonna plant it regardless but I was just curious.

Hi Jason, if you look at last year's statistics, probably the next best cross after 845 x 898 is 1420 LaRue x 1446 Eaton and the reverse (i.e. 1231 and 998 Pukos). That being said, I think the 1332 x 1420 is a good cross. Hope it does well for you.

Yeah it definetly looks like it has a lot of potential..I believe that Tom takes a lot of time figuring out which crosses hes gonna make. I doubt he just drops them in a hat and picks two out.

...and speaking about anyone: if you DID do that, as long as the seeds in the hat were top-notch, you couldn't go wrong, really.
