Grew my 1059dmg(sm blossom end split mid Aug). I slpit 3 other pumpkins within a week. Maybe weather-maybe genetics? I think if it can be held together, it might have potential. It was putting on about 35+ pounds a day when it split. It was about 50 lbs ahead of my 1269 when it split. My opinion: potential=yes, risk of split=yes. Hope this helps! Kevin

Vic I grew it lost the crown early on but still finished at 848.5 taped around 780. I didn't cover it or put much care in after I lost the stump. Nice shape and color. Total plant size less than 100sq ft. after losing the stump. hope to see ya in March!! mike
