Im wondering have any of yall out there had much luck with the 1064 Needhams offspring. Im thinking of giving it a try next year just for the heck of it.

If I remember correctly, the 940 Kurilich was estimated at about 700lbs.

Jason, Is the seed you're contemplating the actual 1064 Needham, or a 1064 Needham offspring seed? There is a difference between the two.

Its just a offspring seed of the Needham 1064..nothing special or anything. I have most of my seeds picked for next year a freind gave me a seed from the needham offspring and was wondering if its worth even fooling with. Ive heard their offspring split and end up damaged a lot.

The Needham offspring seed is likely the seed offered through P and P....its open pollinated 1064Needham fruit I believe (Beachy would know...its his). D. McKie grew it and got a Record New York State squash of 857lbs, surpassing a squash record that stood since 1990....

Thanks for the input..Yeah I asked my freind were he got it from and he said it was from P&P seed co. I was thinking of planting it next year and Ive just never heard to much about Needhams being grown.
