X 1450 Wallace Crossing a selfed 1068 back into it sounds pretty cool to me!

If I had the 1502 I would cross it with the 1174 Wallace ( 1068 x 1225 Jutras)I just got at the auction, if I had the 1502 ,lol.

I agree with shiznit....X 1450 Wallace could be awesome! Otherwise you could try something out of the ordinary, like the 940 Mombert 00.

Shiz, I thought it (the 1450) was a sib cross, not a self...Ron and Tug both grew 1068. Let me know, if you know? Peace, Wayne

Wayne, I'm not 100% sure... I was goin' by what the GPC has it listed as:
http://www.bigpumpkins.com/WeighoffResultsGPC.aspx?c=P&y=2006
anyone?

Shiz,
That GPC list is wrong. The 1450 was sibbed with a different 1068...the one that Ronny grew the 1502 on.
Doesn't matter though. There weren't many seeds in the 1450.

I think the 1450 is a sibb cross, with the pollinator plant being the one that produced the 1502. I could be wrong though.

Opinions are like blah blah blah blah... You might however, want to ask Ron what his line of thinking was when he made the 1502 cross to begin with. It may be a step(be it the first, last or somewhere in-between) in a greater plan. Might be nice to know, if and when you are actually posed with the 1502 x ? crossing question. It might be something you may want to carry on.

Reverse cross...interesting. Selfing...hmmmmm..interesting.
Hell with it, I'm giving it away! I can't stand the pressure!!!!!!!!!!!!
I received an interesting PM....1097 Beachy. Could that be a huge by large Indiana State Fair entry?!
For what it's worth Ky Mafia, the Monster Truck visiting your patch next year will be painted mostly black with a white stripe down the middle. Save your Dunkel dollars.

That 1450 Wallace is gonna be the next Giant grower just like the 1068 is, just my gut feeling. That does stink though Steve that there wasnt very many seeds from it.Give a grower that constantly grows pumpkins over 1000lbs and look out for that 1450 my gut tells me.

Good thought Jordan. I think the 1450 Wallace X 1432 C/P would be a good one as well.
