Take a look at the listings of what Seeds have produced the Heaviest Pumpkins/Squash and you will see a common link between them in what the parent seeds were. Some people like big and orange and some like anything as long as it is heavy regardless of what the colour/shape is. To find such data on parent Seeds you need to look at a database such as the AGGC. By joining the GVGO (Giant Vegetable Growers of Ontario) you will get access to information on the AGGC as part of your Membership Package. Take a look at http://www.gvgo.ca/ and click on Membership Info.
