I was reading the post about favorite orange seeds on this board and saw a seed mentioned on there called the 839 Ceja (869 x 670). Anyone know about this one? Sounds like it may a nice one to try for orange color.

The pumpkin went right to the charts for weight (.74% heavy) It was medium orange color and shaped somewhat like a very round pear. That's pretty much all there is to know since it's an 05. I think (peace wayne) is doing the reverse cross this year, 670 x 869 -Jim

Randoo & Oneck, I am going to do it both ways this year. So far, after asking numerous times I have not found out anything about any 670 x 869 cross have ever being done. Hope it works and eats my house. Peace, Wayne

I also did a 869.5 Calai X 670 Daigle cross last year. However, the fruit split after we got lots of rain in a short period of time. I don't think the split was caused by a genetic defect but of course this is only speculation. I saved some seeds that seem to be mature. If someone should be interested I could still include them in the bubble packs I am filling at the moment.

Martin, if you've still got my bubble, hook a brotha up! I assume this pollinator was the female that grew the 1233? Jim Gerhardt

You're right, Jim. However, your BP is already filled and sealed - should I rip it open again and reseal it? you decide...

Only if it's no trouble. You've got a lot on your hands I bet. Whatever's in there already is more than enough! Thanks.
