How does one get to be a member and get access to this site? What is in there anyway? I have read that you can trace your genetics back almost automatically, which would be neat, but does it have pictures of some pumpkins to see their physical attributes?

I think you have to make a deal with the pumpkin mafia. Hahaha. They have pictures but I would only go there for the articles. snicker. Seriously the AGGC is a private website. Due to abuse wether it be intentional or not, the site is no longer open to all comers. I guess you have to join a club with AGGC privleges.

Herbie Although new membership is restricted, limited access can be gained for free by goining either the GVGO or the NYSGPGA I'm not sure of the details of the New Yourk club but the GVGO is a $20.00 Membership and you also get quite a few great seeds in the aanual seed distribution program.

I am joining a new club in North Dakota that is just being formed. I found the non member posts. What I would like to see is pictures of the pumpkins that were crossed into my current seeds that other people have sent me. I'm a believer in orange pumpkins, not white and that is the reason I would like to see pictures of the genetic family. Anyhooooo that is it. Thanks again guys.

A while back I posted a question on how to get on the site...I was told about the GVGO, so I contacted Phil Hunt @ WWW.GVGO.CA and sent in my $20.00. I can tell you that was the best $20.00 I ever spent!!! Tons of info on the AGGC site, plus they are going to send free seeds.

Thanks for the plug Guys. We're glad your happy with the benefits we offer. The 2006 seeds will be out next month sometime. You'll get them well before planting time. There are some really great crosses this year donated by our generous members. There's still time to join up for the 2006 season. You'll also get 3 really informative newsletters, plus a few other benefits. Next newsletter will be going out this week. For those who receive it by email, you should have it today or tomorrow. Thanks again for kind words. Email me if you have any questions. Take care.
