I don't have a 1086 Wallace (because Vineman needs 5.2 to grow a 1000lber) so which one of these should I grow? 1333 Connolly 1068 X 1253 Sperry (1253 = 1068 X 1180 Daletas) or the 1127 Glasier (same cross as 1068)? Both seeds are unproven. Any ideas? Russ

Just a nu-B's $.02...but if you wanted to grow a 1068????I would think you would want to grow the 1127...same genetics as a 1068...? The pro's say every seed is different...but it is probably as close as anyone could get without spending the long $. Peace, Wayne

If I had to pick one, I would pick the 1127, especially if your growing it in California.

I would say go with the 1127 for these reasons..... 1) You are in California where the 1127 comes from 2) its a successfull cross in another seed 3) the 898 pollinator went big too 4)By growing a Ca seed a mentoring situation may be established, and pete is the man out there. 5) That willfree up the 1333 to send to me where the climate is more suited for it.

I am planting only 1 unproven seed in my patch this year. Right now the 1127 is the top contender for that spot.

MANY 845 X 898 and reverse crosses have been good (1068, 1104.5, 1133.4), for just a few of the best. It seems to me this combo has a high success rate. I really like that 1333 though, 3/4 1068, then 1180 for more heavy. I'd say 1333. AleX Noel.

Which ever one I grow, I hope to cross it with one of Vineman's 1068s. Thanks everyone for your input. Russ
