Here in the north country, we usually harvest our pumpkins prior to a frost. Is the AG safe down to a certain temperature without worry?

A killing frost will end your season quick. People use blankets and heaters to keep their fruit warm. LOL. Like a child. It's not something I have to worry about here. My season will be done by then. Now spring... that's a different story.

safe down to exactly freezing...this coincides for me
with the Clarence weighoff, usually the last Saturday in
September in NY...this year though, we have had it SO easy!
don't know the exact date, but the first REAL frost was weeks behind! yeah, an adequately-sized blanket, tucked in on and around a prized fruit and/or also a mattress pad
kind of sheet, the one that goes ON your mattress and
has the elastic around the corners, is ideal for about an
800-pound fruit! the plant may perish, but the fruit will make it without frost damage.....<>........ eric
