I was looking on the site of the AGGC and see that the pumpkins grown are listed by weight and are indicated by a color as well. ie: orange, black or green. What do the colors stand for or mean?

is the AGGC taking on new members now, or have you been for a while? ummm, the black listings are pumpkins that have the info but no picture, the orange listings are pumpkins that HAVE a picture, and the green listings are for squash; not sure if THEY are distinguished between pic and no pic.... haven't noticed any squash listings without pics. i'll check just for fun tomorrow-----eric

I got a membership (I think it is a limited membership where you can get to just part of the site) last year through my membership to GVGO. I'm new to all this so please correct me if I'm wrong.
Eric, Thanks for the info on the colors.

I will. Thanks for the help.
It's a lot to learn your first year out. We're getting our 3,000 sq ft patch ready for next year. We put in 600 lbs of gypsum under Tremors guidance and am adding the manure this week. I'm looking forward to next season and doing it a bit better. We were able to grow a 409lb this year with a open pollination seed and only manure added. Hope all this added work helps. It seems it is always a bit dicey.

Kristine I'm sure all the work your doing, will pay off in the long run. I can see a 700# + pumpkin for you next year if you keep up the hard work all next season. If you have any questions during the growing season feel free to email me. That's what belonging to a club is all about. If I don't know the answer, I know someone in the club will. Take care.
