Being new at this I found a plant which did good in the heat this yr in my area. But I let the bees do the pollinating. If I crosspollinate next yr with pollen from a proven larger plant with more orange color does that give me 50% better chance of a larger pumpkin and more color? When you are new at this, if you don't ask you'll never know. Thanks

yes, but not until the following year. You cant change the mother, but you can change the seeds contained within her for the next year!
