The 905 wasn't exactly the best seed....it split 4 fruit that I know of. Three to dill ring splits and the other was a blossom end blowout. I dont know how they did for brunst and marsh.......I am sure if joe finds this post, he might have some more information.

ugh. im hate to give my own seeds bad press but i wont lie to ya. Im thoroughly disappointed with the performance of this seed. Looked so good on paper but disappointed me in the patch. I had 4 fruit on 1000+ pace up to 700lbs, at which point they developed a dill ring and opened up along a ribline. I sincerely hope the 800 kilbert and 783 daletas will snub any genetic negative influence the 905 may have had on Chip's and Kevin's cross. Monty lost a 905 about the same size to a similar situation. Sorry folks!

I too, lost my pumpkin on the 905 to a blossom end split. It happened at approximately 350lbs. ott. I have heard the 1260 has seen alot of splits too. Still many use it as a pollinator. I believe the 905 is an excellent cross and still feel I made the right decision using it for a pollinator. I plan on planting the seed from my 1129.5 next year to try it. BTW, the 809 Kilbert is a 898 X 1016 cross. An excellent plant and a great shaped pumpkin.
