I thought I would try making some crosses based on how they sound (like the way I choose wine based on how striking the label is). I already have seeds for a Schnicker-Zunino. Here are some other ideas, but I don't have email addresses, so if any of you can forward them, I would appreciate it. Who knows, this approach may produce a monster pumpkin! (names in parentheses are not in Brian's Insanity, but are common enough that there should be a grower somewhere with that name): Rose Kennedy, Sherwood (Forest), Popp (Warner), Wilson (Pickett). Other suggestions? Thanks, Richard

Here's a few:
- Brown-Reiss (I don't know if that one sounds right if pronounced in proper German) - Fisher-Hunt - Holland-Frantz (a bit of a stretch) - Dill-Picketts (an even bigger stretch) - Wilson-Phillips - Snow-White - Summers-Snow - King-Edwards - Shue-Shaw (just thought it sounded funny) - Wolf-Lyons - Howard-Johnson - Fancey-Rose - Praetzel-Popp
I just wish that there were someone named "Darth" so that you could grow a "Darth-Vader" pumpkin

Thanks for all the great suggestions! Maybe there could be a growoff between white reiss and brown reiss, or between snow white and checkon little. Now, do any of you have emails for these growers you suggested? Or, for the sake of the sport, are any of you willing to change your last name to Darth?

Yeah, I did a search for an "Austin" in the AGGC/GVGO portal so that we could grow an "Austin-Powers". Alas, it's not there.
-How about "Little-Johnson"? ;-) -"Frei-Checkon"? (that's stretching, but at least as good as "Checkon-Little")
