Any one grow the 750 Wentzell'04(940 wentzell x 810 dill) seed this year? This plants vines and pumpkin stems was like something I have never seen before, the vines was a really dark green and the stems on the pumpkins was the longest and thickest green stems I have also ever seen, the stems on the pumpkins looked almost like a vine instead of a stem ,it just dont look like a stem, lol, the pumpkins also started out with a freakish color like again, like i never seen before,LOL.I was banking on this pumpkin turning orange but its snow white now and is just about stopped growing at about 200lbs(just a guess I never measured this pumpkin ever.) I wish I would have grown it out in a christmas tree pattern instead of the snake pattern, but there is always next year.
here are some pictures, anyone eles seen one look like this starting out?

well, i dunno about the 750, but i did have a stem that was actually a vine on my #16 in the experimental patch, the first time i myself have seen that; the fruit only got to be about 50 pounds so i never "got" to deal with any stress issues. your diary was very interesting though! good luck with your 1097.5 Beachy. i hope you hit a half-ton on the scales. hmmmm...what was that crossed with... i have one that i have crossed X the 582 Hester. in the 350-400 pounds range. seeds should be awesome. eric
