And, since I like to stir things up....... Here's the question based upon a recent event causing debate here. If I cross a Cherry Tomato with a Big Zac and then grow out the seed resulting in a tomato ten times the size of the typical cherry tomato and three times the size of the female the seed came from....can I still call it a Cherry Tomato? At what point is it NOT a cherry tomato?.

If you grow it out & it breeds true, then you name it whatever you want to.

I'll really stir things up here and say its not a cherry tomato if its much bigger than a cherry.

i think i have one of those plants this year!
i grew some seeds from ron wilson, and all of the plants look like normal giant tomatoes, except one. that one looks like a giant cherry type, but only has the typical fruit clustering of a giant.
they mature to the size of about a ping pong ball, and are shaped like cherry tomatoes, not like the big zac/beefsteak lines.
i'm assuming tomatoes are about 95% or more self pollinated, so i just pulled a lucky one i guess. i'm planning on planting the seeds again next year.
