I had two fruit growing on big, fat secondaries on my 1420 Larue plant (I lost the main vine early). One of them developed a stem split the other day and split into the cavity. It measured 269" OTT which is an estimated 397 lbs. I chopped up the pieces and weighed them and the actual weight of the fruit was 476 pounds. That means the fruit was 19.9% heavy over the chart! Wow!! If the other 1420 offspring are heavy like mine was, the big ones are going to weigh a LOT.

Pretty impressive. I have a 1420 going but it's only doing 3-5 lbs per day. Hopefully it's heavy like yours. Was your 1420 wheel shaped?

we have the 1420 in and it has produced a very pretty wide ribbed nicely rounded fruit looks like you would hope all your pumpkins will look last time we taped was 9-8 and she was 735 doing 5 per day at that time thumps like a thick pumpkin but who knows the scale will tell the story at either durham, topsfield or ct weigh-off
