This is a VERY basic question
If I have for example a
909.5 Cramer--- the cross is 1107 Cramer X 723 Bobier
does that mean that Cramer grew this particular pumpkin?
Thanks Gary

Cramer planted the 1107 seed and then pollinated it with the 723. The end result of growing his 1107 was a 909.5. The 723 genetics will only be present when the 909.5 seed is grown.
So lets say you grow that 909.5 seed and you pollinated the female with a 1446 Eaton male, now, say you grow a pumpkin that weighs 1500 lbs. The seeds that you retreive from that pumpkin would be: 1500 Sand?/your last name '05 (909.5 Cramer X 1446 Eaton) Hope I made sense of that!? Savio

Excellent explanation, Savio, the only thing you may have wrong, is that, I think, Cramer is probably Shellie Cramer, a great WA state lady grower.
