can a clones winter pollen be stored for use in the summer?

In theory yes, not sure that the issues in moisture level have been resolved for us in pumpkins, and the restoration from liquid nitrogen. Better luck just keeping some tissue going to harvest males from. It is easy to store pollen for up to 4-7 days

we'll find out in the next year or two on how successful it is. i'll be doing my own experimenting and i'm sure there are others.

Thanks Nic. I have sucessfully stored pollen last year in the fridge and produced several large pumpkins too. However, freezing will be a first for me this year and from a clone. I will also try to pollinate a flower using a batch of last years stored and frozen pollen.
