It’s incredible as pumpkinsmania increase when you have a lot of other important things to do, anyway, became for a day a “Dreambreeder” and give your opinion about this question:
What are your “dream crosses”? I mean crosses never recorded (for ex. on databases like AGGC) and that you think have great potentials, magic crosses not discovered. I propose to divide answers in different categories:
1) killer cross for the feature world record
2) killer cross for big orange and nice shaped pumpkins
3) killer cross for squash
4) other killer crosses (with a short description)

my opinion:
1) 1260 Weir x 1097 Beachy
2) 801,5 Stelts x 735 Pukos
3) 895 Hester x 898 Knauss (any chanche of squash?)
4) 735 Pukos x 950,4 Boyton (or other crosses between selfed 846 and 845 in order to increase hybrid vigor).
No prizes, just fun and new ideas for breeding.

My dream cross is the 793 Wentzell x whatever else ends up in my garden (maybe self?) because at the moment (what with the snow trying to melt on a couple of days this week) all I can think about is getting a start on the upcoming growing season. It's in my dreams, therefore, it's my dream cross.

i almost have your number 2. my 704.5 Wolf 04 (801 Stelts x 658 Wolf) - the 658 is a selfed 846, same as the 735. i aslo made the reverse cross.

me - i'd like to see an orange 1260 that goes heavy, crossed with the 810 Dill, or the opposite.

I have plans for the big orange cross this year. My 1125 Frantz X 1101 Northrup. They are both very big and beautiful and I guess the offspring will be the same.

yeah, the 1016 grew a lot of bird baths. I grew the 1016, a huge plant with great heat tolerance too, but I got one of the many mutated ones and didn't get a pumpkin. The 1230 had a lot of mutes too. Jimmy

935 Lloyd; basically anything that has ever grown a
1000-plus pounder, AND especially the REVERSE crosses.
i know, some of these have been done already,
but not everybody knows. all dream crosses to me!
