Will some one please list Jacks Pumpkins that was over 1000 Pounds and their Crosses,or if you know ALL his '2004 Pumpkins and their crosses that would be even better.

Anyone know where I can find all the pumpkins that was grown in 2004 and their crosses? AGlite doesnt have them yet i dont think, and Im not a member of the AGGC.(Wish i was)

What was shown on Garden Giants yesterday?? Jack had a green squash that was 900 something ? was that camera magic or a squmpkin or what ?? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Gotta consider that guy one of the best No doubt, danggg that had to be alot of work to keep up with all them, I bet you wont find one rock in his soil.

I think the weight they announced on Garden Giants included the pallet.... that is why it was off by 50 lbs.

i've always wondered how rocks would be for creating spaces in the soil for air an water. I've never done any experiments with it, just thought it was an interesting idea, they would also help with drainage .

It depends on the size of the rocks & how many are used.
All soil was rock at one time. :o)

Eric, you are right. Unfortuneatly a communication problem occurred during the weighing of the pumpkins below 900 lbs and also the squash. We assumed that someone had 'tared' out the scale to account for our equal weight pallets. Once we discovered the error (unfortuneatly after the TV coverage) it was corrected for all fruit. Boy was it confusing! How about that spectacular announcer that got 3.5 seconds of air time! Look out Hollywood!

Baseball7....Quinns' patch was the first on the Ohio Tour in 2003. It was the very first patch I had seen in Pennsylvania and what did we see? A Patch covered with rocks and had just been underwater for several days from a recent flood. I said to myself, "And these folk can grow 1000# fruit from this soil?"

Does he cover Only the top of his soil completly with rocks? Does he use it like a mulch?

I think Quinn's patch sort of grows them every spring like ours does. The frost brings them to the surface. April has built a nice walkway and small retaining wall around with our plentiful rocks. If the were not so hard on the shins, when my tiller kicks them out. I would leave them in the patch.

My upper gardens are on top a gravel bank every time I till I pick up rocks that are soft ball size and bigger. The rocks you guys throw out are small to me the only good thing is I have great drainage. My lower garden is silt and I have a lot of drainage problems along with flooding from a small stream, but hopefully I will have a dike built before April.
