The 1097.8 TC was (705 Steltz 99 X 845 Bobier 00. The 705 Steltz was (801.5 Steltz X 974 Mettler) The 845 Bobier 00 was (935 Lloyd 97 X 865 Mettler) The 935 Lloyd 97 was (874 Lloyd X 909.5 Lloyd 96) The 865 Mettler (unknown at this writing)
The 710 was grown to an 845 DiMarko(710 Gipe X 1051 Checkon) The 710 was (1097.8 TC X 1061.5 TC) The 1061.5 was (723 Bobier 99 X 935 Lloyd 97)
The 845 DiMarko will be grown by he and I this summer. One cross will be the 1097.5 Beachy(845 Bobier 00 X 723 Bobier) Another cross will be 944.2 D.Lloyd that went 19.5% heavy. This being a success and seed being produced at least I will bring together the two seeds we plan to see this summer as the producer of the first 2500 lb. pumpkin.
By that time one or more growers will be working just as hard on disease resistant seed. When someone has a success doing that we will cross our 2500 pound seed with the disease resistant seed and go for the first two ton pumpkin. By this time it will not be a sin, to sell a seed. Therefore our stock issue, to cover the expense, of doing all this work will contain the suggestion that $500.00 per seed would be the lowest retail cost estimate. The seed will be limited, numbered and carry certification papers with the seed.
By this time the first law suit brought by a truly and fully certified organic grower will have been won and someone will have paid the sum of five dollars per worm based on the one thousand cupic foot of area effected by the over spray or run off of a neighbors filth.
By the same time a huge well known organic grower will be sued heavily for having contaminated irrigation feed lines. E Coly will be discovered as the real original growth stimulant while human waste will then be the same as any other poop. The China gardeners and farmers will smile.
