Hello,
I live in Maine along the coast and I am a first time grower here. My plant was doing really well and I had a pumpkin start about 11 feet along the main vine and it was growing at about 3 centimeters a day. For the last 4 days, it has not grown at all and I am wondering if this means it is done with and I should remove it from the vine.

I have another thats about 15 feet along the main vine that might open up in a few days, so I am wondering if I should cut my losses and hope I can get the next one to take.

Is it the vine that is no good? Does this mean I am likely not to get any on this one?

Not sure when you pollinated your kin but if it stopped growing it probably aborted. This is not uncommon within the first 10 days after pollination. If the kin lost its shiny look its probably done and cutting it off would be the correct thing to do.. Pollinate the one at 15'and any others after that and you can also pollinate any on a side vine. One should take but only time will tell. When you have one or two that are growing well cut everything else off.

Thanks. I ended up cutting it off this weekend so we shall see if the other one I can get pollinated.
