I haven't been able to find any info on leaf damage due to wind with a quick search, so am asking here.
2 of my leaves appear to have had the "vein" of their leaf damaged, so that they flop over either on to themselves or hang unsupported. This affects the half of the leaf past the break.
Is this something that the leaf can repair? Do I need to rig up some sort of support for them? As the plant grows new leafs, they don't grow back from the secondary vine node, do they?
Also, I believe it is due to the wind we had the past 2 days, but at the damaged spots there are some holes. These are very small, so I don't think that it is insect damage.
I have applied my systemic insecticide already, and have not seen anything besides a few ants in the patch. Am I just not looking at the right time? Will you only see evidence of harmful insects at night?

Would help if you posted pictures showing the holes and damage in a diary so people can have a better idea of just what is causing them.

It was raining, and takes a full day to load the pictures, but I plan to!

Whoa, at least 30 leaves staked, that is some dedication! Big pumpkin growers get it done!

I even had a worse incident in 2016. We had a bad storm that day, and I remember driving home from work thinking, $$it, this looks really bad here. I immediately went to my backyard and found this. I pulled one plant, but staked up close to 80 leaves on another (bamboo and zip ties). I ended up growing a pumpkin on a secondary that split weeks later close to 500lbs... season wasn't meant to be.
BUT, if the plant is well rooted it will rebound.
