I was wondering if anyone new if downy or powdery mildew from my pumpkins could spread to my collection of evergreens?

i dunno, myself, but you could google about the evergreens you have and see if they are susceptible - else, the mildew(s) is in the air and will get on everything that IS susceptible anyway.

i believe there may be a product called Mildew Cure at Holland's Land O' Giants:

http://www.hollandsgiants.com/grow.html

**halfway down the page, and a great deal,
as i've seen from other prices**

now, i am merely tooling around for info because i like to research this and did not know that Powdery and Downy are from TWO very-different pathogens, which is why it's so hard to even have them on the same PAGE let alone use the same REMEDY - so,
my computer is too slow and aggravating to find and convey very much, but the below link had a lot to say that i found informative - at least a place to start, along with what everyone else will tell you---eg

if there's a link TO the other mildew?
click on that also for more info:

https://gardeningsolutions.ifas.ufl.edu/care/pests-and-diseases/diseases/powdery-vs-downy.html

quote:
"You can treat powdery or downy mildew by spraying the infected plants with a fungicide labeled specifically for the type of mildew you are dealing with, be it powdery or downy. As always, it is important to follow all label instructions." .end quote.

Hello, Harvest! I'm located here in the Pacific Northwest, home to many Douglas Fir trees. Powdery mildew is all over the place in my neighborhood and I've never seen it on a Douglas Fir or the small redwoods in my yard. Powdery mildew likes roses, pumpkin plants, and gourd plants. I would be much more concerned about PM growing on your pumpkin plants.

Hope this helps! Have a good season!

No. There are different strains of powdery that affect vegetables vs. roses, lilacs, ect.

Andy is correct. They are different strains. Nothing to worry about
