What is real feel temperature? Does it effect vegies? If reelfeel says 32 degrees will it freeze the plants? Tomatoes pumpkins etc?

Real feel? I think up here we call that The wind chill factor. The forecasts here always gives us the temperature plus what the temperature feels like with the wind.
Where are they recording the wind chill?
An open field?
In a stand of trees?
Between tall buildings?
Wind speed can change a lot in a short distance and I take no value in what the wind chill is. Last night here the wind chill was -5 c...I have some pumpkins in the ground with no heater cables or any source of heat ,just a hoop house covering them.No real feel effect.Everything survived fine.
I hope this is what you are talking about and helps you.
Best of luck! Gary

My guess is that they are talking about wind chill which will make it feel colder to us than it actually is. "Real feel" would probably also take into account humidity too, as high humidity will make it feel hotter. I don't think wind chill will frost the plants, BUT I have had young sensitive plants get burned by high winds. I would think about protecting the plants if you want to play it safe.

Sometimes they call it "feels like temp " around here, it is taking into account wind chill and other factors and is not the true temp. I believe it only effects animals and humans, it will cool objects down faster but once they reach the actual temp, they wont go below that.
