I have pricked out my Onions today, and for the first time i have inoculated the roots with Mycorrhiza, My question is will they require doing again at the transplant stage, and again when planting out, I have never used it before and the instructions for use are a little"vague" to say the least. Also, I have not got anything capable of measuring 5 grams would that be equal to a teaspoon full, I Know that's 5 mls but is it about the same, Doh, Any other useful information on its use would be appreciated, thanks Dave.

You don´t need to stick with exactly 5 grams, because more doesn´t hurt and less could also be effective (as soon as some spores hit the root tips). Hence, in case of 5 grams a tea spoon might be a good approximation, but the density of your myco inoculant will depend on the matrix (in case of fluffy peat powder it will have a low density and 5 grams might equal 2 or 3 tea spoons, whereas in case of substrates like expanded clay the density will be higher and a tea spoon could already be more than 5 grams.
Every time you transplant you should take this opportunity to inoculate the root bale. Sprinkle the surface of the root bale or the surface of the plant hole with the myco. It can´t hurt.
