Neptune's does have kelp in it, but the only stuff I could find marked "kelp" was a powder to be mixed with the soil--no big deal. This got me thinking. Can you/should you add water to these types of plant food to make a foilar feed?

There is a micro fine powder kelp you can mix with water and spray... The regular meal you would have to make a tea and soak to extract the goodies.

Pumpkin Mom, is the powder flaky like pepper or is it really a powder, like powdered sugar? If its powdered then, yes, you can mix it with water to use as a foliar, I'm guessing about 2 teaspoons per gallon would work well. If its in the form of flakes its meant to be used as a soil ammendment. The powder clumps up pretty easily, if thats what you have, I suggest putting the amount you plan on spraying in a 1 gallon milk jug add about 1/2 a gallon of water and shake it really well.
