And I thought I had a lot of old seeds. Can't hold a candle to that list. I try to plant 3-4 old seeds a year but even at that rate I will probably never get them all planted (even with the low germination rates)

I went through all the seed packets and the 1423.5 Wallace and 1051 Cheam seed packs are empty. Sorry if I got anyone’s hopes up.

i bet these could grow 1400-1500 now.
If my 636 oldie does not germ i'll ask you for a few. I think it would be wise to plant some old ones to keep the gene pool fresh and to monitor how much the genetics vs culture is providing the gains we see. That 1502 was grown a lot would be curious to see if it could do better now. It appears a rodonis or jutras would be much better. A cool novelty would be a seed from each world record. Its would be cool to hold a seed from a world record.... I never have.

I have the 1504 Wallace, 2118 Jutras SQ and 149.5 Eaton LG in my stash. All either former or current WR’s. The Jutras and Eaton seeds will be planted this year.

I agree these old seeds would perform better with the new growing techniques. I think there’s a lot of these old genetics in the current seeds being grow these days.
