Going Green

It is time for the final enrollment. 50 growers will send their very best seeds to be exchanged for the seeds from the other 50 growers. Many will be sending seeds from more than one type of seed. For example: one of our members is sending 55 packs of AG PUMPKIN AND 55 packs from Tall Sunflowers. Don't forget to put in $7.00 to pay for your package of other growers seeds to be mailed to you. We will have seeds from Giant Tomatoes, Giant Squash, Giant long gourds, Giant Bushel gourds, Giant Zucchini, Giant beetroot and many other types of seeds. This is a very exciting time. You can contact me at wellingtonphil@yahoo.com with any other questions but please tell us here what seeds you are planning to send. It was fantastic last year with over 100 packs of seeds sent to growers. Mail your package to Phil and Patricia Wellington, 13253 Otten Ave., Cole Camp, Mo. 65325 between now and Christmas and receive your package in Janurary.

Tell us what your sending here and when your seeds are ready and dry send them!

Already received one growers seed. I put it in the vault and am waiting for others before I start sorting out a address package to each of you. This is obviously going to be a tremendous year. Anyone got seeds from Giant beet or rutabaga and how about squash grown from the WR 1580! Tomato seeds from the 8.41 MACCOY! Who grew a big orange from the 1947 or 1321 CLEMENTZ.

weekend preparing the 55 envelopes 308#MUSSO (2096 x Meier sib) to send, send the seeds of a wonderful cross, shame that I had problems with the temperatures and hailstorms, I pollinated in August but I still managed to have a pumpkin just to be able to obtain the seeds and preserve this genetic.

I'm in! I will send 55 AG seeds from my 556 lbs (2102 Meier x 2036 Glasier). For me it's a very interesting cross. I've grown it in just 20 square meters, and the growth has stopped at 60 days for the extreme warm weather! But the seeds are well formed and perfect.

I have seeds from our 96.5# Canadian record rutabaga from 2014. We brought the rutabaga home from the weigh off last year, placed it into a plastic tote in 3" of dirt, watered it & placed it into our heated garage (5 degrees C). We replanted it in the spring & let it go to seed. The seeds were harvested 6 weeks ago. If you want some, email me & I'll do up some packs & send them in for the exchange.
