What is going on here? This came on literally overnight and is spreading fast. Plant had Merit applied 3 weeks ago when small. Other than that only worm tea and rain on the leaves. Is this yellow vine disease? Is yellow vine seed born?

Thanks.

Although Miracle-Gro is surprisingly unpopular with AG growers, I, myself would hit that plant with MG 24-8-16 regular strength @ 1 TBSP/gal (don't chicken out!) H2O every 3 days for until it responds favorably or just for one week/9 days;
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII feel that what is happening is that the plant is growing so fast that the nutes from any other part of the plant are translocating to areas of deficiency and the yellow areas will probably NOT turn magically green - they have done their duty. See, that pot had what it had - maybe ONE leaf node could be buried to start feeding from the actual native soil. eg

Otherwise, although dramatic in your case, IIIIIIII'd say that any other plant, on a lesser scale of yellowing, is just showing its colors - eg

That looks like round up damage or something similar. See what happened to me in 2012. I hope I am wrong and not the case with you.

Its way of saying it wants out of the pot. My guess is:

Your potting mix has slowly been getting more acidic and recent rain has reduced the transpiration rate. So, suddenly the plant has no magnesium coming from the roots, so it quickly pulls everything it needs out of the leaves instead. A pretty extreme example of this. The most extreme: http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=316166

Just a guess... dont chop my fingers off if I am wrong.

The plant is in a 10 gallon pot because I only want it for pollen. I need it to hang on a couple more weeks then she i dead anyway, but questioning if she will make two more weeks.

The pot has got to be the problem, I just need to give it some life support before pulling the plug. Going to treat it like it was hydro and feed every time.

It's not yellow vine disease in my opinion, I think you are going to be ok. Like Luke said any chance round up was sprayed nearby?

A few cold nights can do that at that stage. You'll know in a few days, but it might grow out of it.
