I noticed some small, yellow dots on some of my leaves. I am hoping it is nothing serious, but i have a bad feeling. They are on several of my pumpkin plants, and seem to only be on some of the newer growth. Some leaves have around 100 of these dots on them about 1/8" - 1/4 inch diameter.

My first thought was downey mildew. I have been spraying weekly fungicides, at least 4 different kinds over the past 3 weeks.
I will get a pic up as soon as my diary pic goes through.

Any thoughts on what it could be ?

An earlier discussion from a grower with similiar issue:

Not sure if the diagnoses has changed since though....

Here's a link on how to identify downy mildew.http://www.omafra.gov.on.ca/english/crops/facts/09-013w.htm

Small, yellow dots could be Pseudomonas syringae. http://www.grow-it-organically.com/growing-cucumbers.html

I realize these links are for cucumber diseases, but cukes and 'kins are both cucurbits and have the same disases.

That looks similiar to the problem I had last year, it was bacterial leaf spot (xanthamonas campestries) you may eant to have it tested to be sure. If it is, a company called omnilytics has a product that may help called agriphage.

I know a lot of people have different ideas I question if it's a deficiency of manganese? I'm no scientist but that's my call I think different than most lol

Rick, so far, i do not see any water soaked spots on the underside of the leaves. That is the give away for bacterial leaf spot. It wiped me out in 2014, so that is one disease that i unfortunately know well. I am planning on spraying copper tomorrow.

Big city,
I was low on manganese on my spring test. I added some about a week and a half ago. That is a possibility.
Thanks for the replys.

They don't look like Downey spots

Looks identical to some herbicide spray drift I had a couple years ago. You'll know in a week if the new growth doesn't have the spots.

I just looked at the underside of the leaves to look at the spots. the yellow is only only on the top side, but I see a very tiny brown speck (like a dry spot ) on the underside of the spots. It is the size of a pin head and is centered in where the yellow on the topside is.

I just thought pf another possibility. I had some pelletized ferts that were not all dilluted into the soil yet. We had very heavy rains on Sunday. Just maybe when the rain hit the puddling water, it could have been concentrated and splashed on the leaves, and they could be small burn spots. Not every small leaf has the spots. I am hoping it is something harmless like that. I will monitor it closely and see if any new leaves get it.

I agree with your assessment. I have seen were you have scattered showers, with the sun shining and the water beads on the leaves, and the water beads magnify and leave burn marks like this
