I transplanted about twenty pumpkins to the garden on Wednesday..Friday I had cucumber beetles. For the most part it's been a wet cold spring. Still low forties at night and low sixties during the day. Only my second year growing AGs and never planted my regular garden until after Memorial Day. Was wondering if this is common or is there something I should have done to the garden to prevent this. I also planted some AGs at a farm I grew at last year and no beetles there. I did spray them yesterday and this morning the plants had a bunch of dead beetles. Seems way early to me but what do I know.lol

Early springs mean early cuke beetles. Here's an article on cuke beetles' biology and how to treat plants to defeat them.
