Has anyone had success in fighting weeds using Curbit or Command or the combination of them called Strategy (Ethalfluralin 18.2% and Clomazone 5.6%) Any problems with AG's rooting in at the leaf nodes? Any problems otherwise? I just need some help in keeping ahead of my foxtail and a few broadleaf weeds... Thanks

Years ago I remember Steve Jepsen (Tremor) advising that it wasn't a good idea to use pre-emergents in the pumpkin patch. I don't really know if anyone has tried it though.

also from what little i have read on pre-emrgents, if you basically disturb soil where it was sprayed you may have weeds grow. because it gives you a sort of protective layer in the soil where weed seeds can not grow. im no expert so dont quote me on this.

We used to use it on the Field Pumpkins. It is some very finicky and powerful stuff. It needs all the right conditions. It basically had to be applied through irrigation or when it was raining. Then no chance of sunny weather to prevent it from volatilizing. Smoked the neighbors grape vines which were about 100 feet away.

I think you could apply it to one side of the plant and see how it compares to the untreated side
