A tissue test of the affected portion might tell you whether nitrogen got to high, or micronutrients got too low. Of course they dont test every element and things like silicon or nickel or cobalt play a role in it then you just wont know. I'm not into the this hopium stuff. But Id take the prescription written by Dr. Daletas!

Russ, we should think more about these things during the winter. We think about nutrients, genetics, etc., but these problems in the season lower our morale. These are things that can happen, but you know, Travis got a world record in a tertiary, I mean it's not a big problem.

My 2145 Sperry is doing the same thing on 4 spots on the main Russ. Luckily they've all healed but none were quite as bad as yours. Must be a genetic thing?
