Looking good with the Jumbo melon patch! Glad you got through the winds, you definitely have lots of weight there. Let's hope Mother Nature straightens out and settles down for everyone. Poor plants don't know "they're coming or going"?

Melons should get more master gardener points! They are a challenge! And you're doing them outside of a hoophouse. Have you ever done them in a full size hoophouse, John? That would be interesting.

Danny, yeah i put some weights (Bricks, rocks, split logs) on the vines to hold them down from the wind. Porkchop, I sure hope this patch turns into melon heaven! Ketchup, No I haven't grown one in a hoophouse yet! Some day I may try it. Good luck smallmouth!

Sounds good John, we have a 185 Crews jumbo melon I believe started not outside yet along with some others Carolina Cross types, give them a go up here? So great to see your set up along with other melon growers.
