At some point (after you reach pollination) theres a final theory to consider.
Theoretically, since it's not great to get into excessive levels magnesium (mag sulfate) or nitrogen (ammonium converting to nitrogen), switching to just a small amount of elemental sulfer when burying vines and spread around the crown/stump could be beneficial.
Elemental sulfer is sold as a dust for roses. I think it should not be harmful to mix small quantity into the soil. I've used it to dust entire plants but beware it clings to clothing and can be irritating and odorous and doesnt easily wash out of clothing. So that being said, there is a prilled form also which might be even better if only because it's easy to apply. It's not very soluble, but if you broadcast about a pound of it in and around the plant then the small amount dissolves could be enough to meet the plants needs.
But see what the lab recommends before taking any more of my advice. My advice is a coin toss but sometimes when you take a risk you win. Glad I finally hit a nail straight on, I guess. Growers like dale and bigmoon and others are real carpenters worthy of trust, fyi.
