I would choose the Mendi seed from what you have. My reasoning would be to cross the 2183 line with the 1865 that you have on the way and have the 1686 in there to boot. But I'm very new and know very little.

I would consider the 2250, 2749, 2356.7, 2020, 2641 and 1865. You can always get more seeds but you can never get more years so I would start a bunch of seeds and just keep the best looking ones. That's my philosophy at least.

well currently i dont full time job have a job since i havent finished school so i will most likely start 3 seeds not more due to it costing me quite a bit of cash

but yeah the 1865 seed is a hot seed well see what ill do this year but i think a cross with the 1904 sperry could also have potential as the 1904 produced the 2154 which produced debacco's 2587

to be honest i dont really think much of planting the 2641 yeah it did grow the world record but it went light which makes me skeptical..

If you believe every seed has its own genetic makeup based on lineage than I'd say you have just about an equal chance of planting a seed with the "giant" gene with any of the seeds you pictured. That being said, I agree with Nick, start with older seeds and pick the best of the bunch. This is my first year tho so that's that too :-)

I def like the 2020 Patton (2365 Wolf x 2907)

It's grown 4 well over 2,100 and goes beaut orange.

I would be very careful about the over/under weight % as there was quite a change made from 2024 to 2025. I would estimate that in 2024 Paton world record would have been about 1% heavy based on the estimated weight of the 2023 Bernstrom.
Look at the weight and estimated weight pluss % heavy in 2024 for the measurements of494, 491, 480. and 479 then go to those measurements in /estimated weghts in 2025 to see the heavies drop big time and some now slightly light. 480 is year 2023 to 2025.
So now are the same pumpkins heavy or light?

Two seeds that have the highest-weighted outcomes ever, plus a third seed that falls in line with that or a seed with no record that you feel that you 'must' plant. I mean, why plant any seed blindly? They was what they was, lol. Good Luck! eg

If that was my seed collection I'd try the 2907, with maybe the Werner or Schmit as backups and start them a week or two later. I can no longer imagine having three plants, I'm a one plant guy now. Have fun!

Ps cant see the 2nd one down on the left but maybe it deserves to see dirt. Don't be afraid to add a 3rd backup plant, the more the merrier.

Yeah you cant see the 1800 ceja (1885x2145) i got it from the german silent auction with the 2250 abd the 1904 sperry

Will see which goes im not sure of the 2907 yet as i want a mistake free year before it sees soil as im pretty sure it was the second to last to ever be auctioned off last year

2 Plants? , I would sow the 12 seeds in pots, and I would choose the 6 best to put 3 in each Hole, and the other 6 I would put them in big pots to use them as pollinators. On the ground, put the most beautiful and fastest in a pot, and that they have a better root system. Destiny will choose, and no one in a diary. :) Good Luck

If the 2907 is fast and good, don't hesitate, that one should go to a well.

You already have the seeds; you don't need to buy any more. If you manage to cross your best plants and achieve something great next year, you won't need to buy many seeds because you'll have good genetics. My recommendation is to sow 4-6 seeds per plant, 2-3 plants for Hole. not just one. And pollinators are very important for genetics. Try pollinating with completely different genetics to achieve hybrid vigor! But if you want to save the seeds for another year, I understand that too.

I would do 2749, 2792.9, 2907, or either of the 2020’s
