Fahrenheit, when I was a kid. around your age, our teachers told us that we would be all metric in the USA by the year 2000 and that it would be super important to learn it for that reason. We certainly missed that deadline and it doesn't look like we will ever change! Our Scientists use it, but that is about it! In the USA Houses are still built using feet and inches, milk is still sold in gallons, temps are still in fahrenheit and most importantly pumpkins are still weighed in pounds and ounces. Whether that is good or bad I don't Know. Obviously change doesn't come easy. Metric is like a foreign language for me, I have to translate to fahrenheit to be able to "know" what -27C is.

After all these years it is still difficult for many of us to adapt get use to the metric system. Still many builders go by feet and inches, farms by the pound, etc. Grocery stores are a problem especially for seniors use to the old system such as produce, meats all metric. So much $ per kg. They see squash for example only .99 cents in large print yet per kg in smaller print thinking a deal? So it's about $2.20 per lb. Squash weighs around 4 lbs say and upon check out then BAMN price is $8.80! Shocked many of course say no thanks not paying that much. I myself got caught up into it with cherries but damn they were good I needed them lol.

From a chemistry class I took 150 years ago, I will always remember 9/5C +32, so basically double Celsius and add 32 for a quick estimate or use 9/5 for the exact.
