If cover crops get you hyped then you have officially caught the bug. Welcome and I'm excited to see how you do in 2026!

I like that yard grass that doesn't seem to wanna get very tall. I'm no Heavy Hitter but if you will become at points where you till up the patch, you can in the meantime look into Mycorrhizae, a beneficial fungus that attaches to plants' roots and provides them with as much available nutrition as possible. >>>See videos on YouTube and see the two main friendly companies (Land O' Giants and WOW Products) on the Main page (bigpumpkins.com) for their products, my go-to being BioGrow Endo Plus, but that's just ME, lol. I have like 50 pounds left from years ago quietly waiting to be used. I love that it is in my soil, helping my plants along and also in my seed-starting cups even now, showing as fuzz on top of the Seed-Starting Mix. I am earnest in that this is the SECOND time I've typed this; Computer clipboards leave a lot to be desired, lol. Arrrgh. Well, good luck next year, with another BIG smile! eric g PS - By switching between patches year-to-year and Myco-ing, you can till even more!, but tilling is only necessary when actually incorporating amendments, manure and even Myco, which is better off without it in general opinion. I know tilling is FUN! So, have at it, lol---eg

Yes! I am looking forward to incorporating mycorrhizae into the plot next year. Planning to focus on adding it when I bury vines! Yes the trade off in compaction from the tractor and ease of adding amendments that - way we will see how much of a work out I want at that time and if I’ll add it by hand lol.
