Hammer that plant with merit twice a season and I haven't seen an aphid since! If that doesn't work and it's really bad I do what your neighbor taught me and fog out the whole greenhouse . By morning there're done.
Ever since the 2 drenches a season I've never had to spray again. I hated those bastards and they love greenhouses like the spider mites.

yes I've done my 2 drenches this year but the aphids still have arrived especially in the "shadow areas" under other leaves. White flies are bad as well.Maybe time for another shot of Merit.

Aphids are a symptom of inefficient use of nitrogen within the plant. There's a nutrient aspect. You might get better pumpkin growth as well if you figure out which nutrient is lacking (or in excess)... rather than solving it only in a reactive way.
I think its the m's molybdenum, manganese, and magnesium... And sulfer. Those are the ones that could be lacking??
Nitrate and chloride are the ones that may be in excess...
But only the expert agronomists know for sure :)

Always sucks to lose any leaves this time of year but it has to be done. Good to notice them before they spread.

I've had whitefly issues this year also. So weird. Never had them in the patch ever!
