Nice work! So much about growing giant pumpkins is figuring out ways to deal with the constant problems. We are all fighting insects, disease, critters, weather, etc while trying to push the limits of what a plant can do. I'm thankful we have this site to share thoughts and suggestions! You're doing a great job with all your challenges this season and have some great pumpkins going. Keep up the good work.

Extend the crack on the pumpkin by 1/2 inch. Then put a cross hatch on each. I'll post a picture of my stem crack later today.
