So I wanna see what the orange lovers think is the best looking pumpkin grown in 2017. If you have a link to the picture of it that would be great to. That way we can all see some of the great orange kins from this past year.

The 573.30 Sullivan has to be right in the mix. Really bright orange fruit. Grown from the 917 Sullivan 16.

This line I believe will continue to produce nice orange fruit so hopefully we get some people in Europe, USA and Canada giving it a try next year.

I only went to three weighoffs this fall. If I had to pick the HD winner of the Minneapolis area from the 3 HD contenders it would be a difficult call. Here are two best in my mind that I saw in real.

It is somewhat unfortunately that they showed at different weighoffs..if I was the judge, I would have a hard time choosing. I would have to excuse myself because I might not be impartial. Do you get extra credit for growing cinderella.

Are you ready for some good friendly competition Shannon. Maybe this winter we can decide how to choose between two very good entries. I know you have seen both in real. You have a bit of partiality towards one and I have a bit a partiality towards the other. We need to keep the bears away from Kuebiko's patch and hopefully have 3 awesome entries to bring the award to a higher level.

You got to look at Norm Gansert (Abbynormal)
1090 HD Winner , I say its was the best this year. Just look in his diary.

Engel's Great Pumpkins and Carvings

Menomonie, WI (mail@gr8pumpkin.net)

We will see next year... :) The 673 Engel was pretty, but it needed more size. It had color and symmetry.

Lots of really pretty Orange pumpkins out there. Can't claim its the prettiest but entry 97 in my diary is a nice one. Like the 673 Engel it needs a little more size in today's Orange world.

I will echo Mr. House, mine was pretty but lacks the desired size. The genetics are beautiful.

Werners 1676 looks nice. I wonder what he considers the best orange seed to be he might have good advice.

Radach's 770 runner-up H.D. off the 1912 carter and Wetzel's 894.5 H.D. were the most memorable ones I saw this year.
