I just received John N's 135.5/279.5 cross. What would be another cross that could be made that would have good potential?

Bushel Gourds are new to me.....but, I grew a 270 Kent crossed with a 270 Kent---lots of excuses but mine only grew 90.5 lbs. A lot of selfed giant pumpkins grow monsters and I'm hoping a 270 Kent and a 270 Kent will be the cross and seed for 2016. I have a lot of seeds to share....Jim Stawecki
