I am not finding any weigh off locations for Texas. I do grow pumpkins and it is possible from looking up on Google that you can grow them pretty big here. Not like 2000lb big.. but hey I am up for a challenge. I hope anyone can advise where these might be. Thank You

I'm not aware of any Texas weighoffs, but the Oklahoma Giant Pumpkin Growers will be holding their 3rd annual weighoff on September 19, 2020, at the following location:

Claremore Expo Center
400 Veterans Parkway
Claremore, OK 74019

This is in conjunction with the Rogers County Fair.

Couple of non GPC contests in Texas turned up on a google search. Might also look to see if Texas state fair has large pumpkin contest as well. Otherwise if you want to go to GPC weigh off will have to travel to another state that has locations as mentioned above.

there were texas growers years ago went to Shattuck ok. it was about 5 miles from texas line

Yeah don they said you kept taking the money and was giving none for the Local so they shut it down I live 30 minutes away from there and that’s what got me into giant pumpkin growing. But then by the time I found the land to grow on there was no longer a weighoff. So I helped start a club and we made a new weigh off On the other side of the state.

*** I have participated in the Texas State Fair and there is no Agricultural portion to the fair. I did read about Shattuck however could not find anymore than the one that you see on Google from a few years ago. Please email me any information. Southern Plains

The Oklahoma weighoff is still scheduled for the day and location listed at the top of this thread.

As of today, 33 days out, there have not been any specific limitations imposed on the weighoff, though public seating may need to be "spaced" in order to keep everyone happy.
