My 45 phillips was 122" ott when it ripened and was 51 " cc.
It was 39" CC when it started loping.
The one that I have growing right now is 46" CC...105" OTT and no loping yet..

Days of growth is directly related to air temp. Lopes can grow up to 60+ days if the air temps are low.In Alabama 45 days is about all you will get. Sometimes a lope will ripen even sooner if the temps are near 100. Netting isn't always a good indicator of age, but it sounds like you have a really nice one going either way. Also castor pellets will run your mice off. Keep it going and good luck

Your right it is a nice lope good shape too. Might want to put it on some metal shelving. I've had bad luck even with wood strips.

It's got a few loping lines in the crevices this morning. I can barely see them. It might grow 16 to 20 more days.

I have no clue the age of my lopes, my first ott measurement was July 4, and it was 64inches, so what DAP is normal for 64 inches. I know 64" for a melon is somewhere between day 7-9 on average, but no clue on lopes?
