This is my first year trying to grow a long gourd. I measured this morning and the long gourd is 94 inches from top to bottom. It seems to be growing about 5 inches a day. I assume the growth rate slows down in August? Maybe I should terminate the growth tips and pollinate a second gourd?

Gourd is now at 100 inches.

Your Down to 3 a day buddy. They slow down fast. I have 2 over 100" and they are both doing 2-3" a day max. Once they slow, they really slow. I have gone ahead and started pollinating the second phase.
