I decided to start twice the number that I wanted to plant not sure of the success rate. We put the seeds on a wet paper towel in a ziploc bag on a warming mat for 24 hours and them put them in soil. I only had one spring up after 4 days so thought the others were duds (16 seeds total). So I started 12 more using my friends pumpkin seed starting process when lo and behold! All my duds started coming up. Sigh. Now I am looking at places to plant the sprouts. I might try to sell the sprouts to my local nursery. They are healthy buggars!
