gourd like I did last year. What is the best way to get the seeds to sprout? Do I soak them like pumpkin seeds? Or what? I need 30 seedlings! I have 100 seeds! Thanks! This board is the best!!!

I soak mine for about 12 hours in a 85 degree water mix. The water mix is about 90% water 10% peroxide and a splash of liquid seaweed.
I then transfer them to about 10 moist paper towels folded over and into a sealed zip lock bag. I try to keep the temp at about 85 to 90 degrees till they pop.
I find LG seeds way across the board, some seeds you will get a 80% germination rate, some you will get a 0% germination rate for a seed stock.
I usually have luck with my own seeds I started 14 this year and 12 germinated in about 36hrs. 2 of the 5 124 1/2 young's germinated within 48 hrs. and 0 of 5 of the 94 eatons germinated, been about 5 days now. They can take upto two weeks before they pop so stick with em.

Just my 2 cents worth...I file seed heavily and soak 4-6 hours in warm water...and prefer seed starter mix over paper towel method. I cover the seed starter trays with plastic wrap to keep moisture level constant on heat mat 85-90* They can pop up anywhere from 7-14 days and sometimes more? Good luck!

I soaked mine for an hour in warm water. Then put in incubator at 92•, I did 2 seeds, both were out of ground in 4 days. Maybe I just got lucky, this is my first year.

Just to follow up. I got 24 out of 30 to sprout using Pumpkin Picker's advice. Thanks! Next batch I'm gonna file and combine the advice of Pumpkin Picker and duff..
